Ideal Conditions for this Aquarium Fish
Appearance The Silver Dollar Fish is another species of colorful tropical freshwater fish. When viewed from the side they have a flat and round shape with a very shining silver color all over the body.Peaceful In general they are peaceful fish well suited for a community aquarium setup. Two of them in a tank is good enough but more is better like four or six of them in a school. Although they are regarded as peaceful they can become aggressive when they are provoked by aggressive fish like certain Cichlids. They will also eat very small fish. Strata They usually keep to the middle to top parts of the fish tank. Feeding Do take note that these fish are plant eaters and will eat almost any type of plant in your fish tank. Feed them flake food and supplement their diet with live plants. Breeding Breeding can be encouraged by raising the water temperature to 82.4°F or 28°C. Having them in a school of four or six and putting broad leaved plants in your tank will also encourage spawning.
