Ideal Conditions for this Aquarium Fish
Although this is not a very colorful tropical freshwater fish it is very easy to care for and thus a popular fish to start a new aquarium with. Appearance They have fairly dark blueish and golden stripes that run from the head to the tail horizontally over the body even over their fins. Strata They prefer to stay in the middle and especially the top regions of a fish tank. Peaceful, Community They are peaceful schooling fish which makes them ideal for a community aquarium setup either with other schooling fish or with pairs and individuals. Breeding If you are interested in breeding this is a excellent type of fish to start with. They are egg laying breeders and because of their hardiness they are very easy to breed with.
